Thuy Van Industrial Park, located in Viet Tri city, Phu Tho province, is one of the earliest industrial parks established in Vietnam. The project was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 836/QD-TTg dated October 7, 1997, marking the beginning of the development of industrial infrastructure in the Northern midland region.
Initially, the project was invested by Song Hong Construction Corporation (under the Ministry of Construction). However, on June 18, 2001, according to Decision No. 740/2001/QD-TTg, the investment rights were transferred to the Industrial Park Infrastructure Development Company – a unit under the Phu Tho Provincial Industrial Parks Management Board. This transfer not only helps improve management efficiency, but also affirms the solid and stable legality of the project in the long term.
