The Phuoc Dong Port Industrial Park was established by Decision No. 2498/QD-UBND dated August 11, 2011, of the Long An Provincial People’s Committee. However, the initial implementation faced many difficulties because the land owned by Thang Long Private Enterprise was located in a key position, causing the industrial park to be divided into two parts and making it impossible to synchronize infrastructure systems such as electricity, water supply and drainage, and transportation.
Subsequently, the project received approval for its 1/2,000 scale zoning plan according to Decision No. 4027/QD-UBND dated October 30, 2020, of the Long An Provincial People’s Committee. On March 21, 2021, the project officially commenced construction, with the expectation of becoming a highlight in attracting investment to Long An province and contributing to the development of the Southern key economic region.
