1. Project overview and legal information

The Thu Thua Industrial Park was established in 2019 by Thu Thua Industrial Park & Urban Development Joint Stock Company. Located in Thu Thua town, Thu Thua district, Long An province, the project covers a planned area of 188.88 hectares, of which 127.79 hectares are designated for industrial lease. The industrial park is oriented towards multi-sector development, particularly attracting industries that are difficult to accommodate in other industrial parks in Vietnam and Long An, such as fertilizer production, detergents, textile dyeing, printing, and garment manufacturing.

The Thu Thua Industrial Park is planned to attract a diverse range of industries, in line with the nation’s clean industry development orientation. Priority sectors include:

  • High technology: electronics, electronic components, telecommunications cables
  • Mechanical engineering, machinery manufacturing

In addition, the industrial park has a special advantage in being allowed to accommodate many specialized industries such as:

  • Food and beverage processing
  • Pharmaceutical and cosmetic production
  • Household plastics, plastic packaging
  • Furniture and decoration
  • Textile, dyeing, printing, and finishing
  • Agricultural, forestry, and aquatic product processing
  • Fertilizer, chemical, paint, and ink production
  • Seafood processing, fish sauce production, and vegetable oil production
  • Alcohol, wine, and beer production
  • Electroplating and mechanical product finishing
  • Animal feed
  • Sugar and MSG production

While many industries with a high risk of pollution are subject to licensing restrictions in other industrial parks, Thu Thua is one of the few industrial parks that can still accommodate these sectors, creating a significant competitive advantage in attracting investment.
