Lap Thach 2 Industrial Park is one of the projects in the development orientation of key industrial parks in Vinh Phuc province. The project was approved by the Prime Minister to be added to the planning in Official Dispatch No. 1581/TTg-KTN dated September 3, 2009, with an estimated scale of about 250 hectares.
On May 23, 2013, Vinh Phuc Provincial People’s Committee approved the detailed planning at a scale of 1/500 for the first phase of the project with an area of 111.5 hectares according to Decision No. 1304/QD-UBND. The industrial park is located in two communes of Lap Thach district, including:
- Ban Gian commune: 89.5 ha
- Dong Ich commune: 22 ha
