The Quan Ngang Industrial Park (Quang Tri province) was established by the Provincial People’s Committee under Decision No. 17/2008/QD-UBND dated July 21, 2008, with an initial planned area of ​​205 hectares, implemented in two phases. Phase 1 covered 139 hectares and Phase 2 covered 66 hectares.

In 2016, the Prime Minister approved the addition of Phase 3, with an area of ​​116.74 hectares, to the plan for the development of industrial parks in Vietnam until 2020, thereby increasing the total area of ​​the park to 321.74 hectares.

Expanding the industrial park not only creates more land for investment but also contributes to promoting economic growth and shifting the economic structure towards industrialization. At the same time, the industrial park effectively utilizes local raw materials, expands production cooperation, creates more job opportunities, and increases income for workers.

In 2016, the Prime Minister approved the addition of Phase 3, covering an area of ​​116.74 hectares, to Vietnam’s industrial park development plan until 2020, thereby increasing the total area of ​​the entire zone to 321.74 hectares.

2. Geographical location

The Quan Ngang Industrial Park is located in Gio Quang commune, Gio Linh district, Quang Tri province, with the following specific boundaries: to the north, it borders Gio Chau commune; to the south, it borders the East Highway 73; to the west, it borders the residential area of ​​Gio Chau commune (Gio Linh district); and to the east, it borders the natural drainage system of the area.

Regarding transportation connectivity, the industrial park has a convenient location:

  • Approximately 13 km from National Highway 15
  • Approximately 10 km north of Dong Ha city center

3. Infrastructure system

Currently, the technical infrastructure at Quan Ngang Industrial Park has been comprehensively and fully invested in, ready to meet the needs of investors:

  • Internal transportation:
    The internal road system is well-built and rationally designed, ensuring convenient traffic flow. Sidewalks approximately 2 meters wide are provided on both sides of the roads, and underground technical infrastructure lines such as electricity, water supply and drainage, and telecommunications are integrated.
  • Electricity system:
    Electricity for production is supplied from the 110kV Quan Ngang substation with a capacity of 22,120 kVA. In addition, there is a backup power supply from the 110kV Dong Ha (E4) and Vinh Linh (E82) substations, ensuring a stable and continuous power supply.
  • Water supply system:
    Water for production is supplied by Quang Tri Irrigation Works Management and Exploitation Company Limited, fully meeting the needs of users.
  • Drainage System:
    The drainage network is designed to separate rainwater and wastewater, with rainwater being channeled directly into the industrial park’s common drainage canal system.
  • Wastewater Treatment System:
    The industrial park has implemented the construction of a centralized wastewater treatment plant, with a phase 1 capacity of approximately 3,000 m³/day. Upon completion, the system will contribute to controlling and minimizing environmental pollution arising from production activities.
  • Communication System:
    Modern telecommunications infrastructure is invested in, ensuring seamless connectivity and effectively serving the communication and data transmission needs of businesses.
